Well hello.
Here I am, once again. Re-inventd myself as a sea gull. Sea Gurl. Sea Girl. O.K., OLD sea gull! Weird, I know. You are asking yourself, "the name? HUH?" keep reading.
Big T aka as Terry, husband to me, the aka the old sea gull , well we have a bit of news. We are moving to a bit further South. Still Alabama, but to live on the Intercoastal , Oyster Bay.
how I could I ever leave Sweet Home Alabama??? Never. But, nonetheless, moving 4 hours away , down South, to Sunset Bay in Bon Secour. It took me awhile to get that spelling correct. Doesn't sound to "Alabamian", BON SECOUR , AND IT' ISN'T. It's obviously, French. Think about our location. Not that far from New Orleans, basically, so of course, French settlers came and pegged our little city. It means, "Safe Harbor". Maybe I will write the history of Bon Secour at some point, but not today. Today I'm just writing that we are moving. Building a new home. BUILDING! At our ages! WOW, I often get frustrated it's taking so long and I tell Big T, "let's hope we get it built so we can enjoy it!". I've also had some very ballsy people ask, "how could you leave your kids and grandkids?". That hurt. We are not "leaving our kids". Never have. Never will. We are finally giving them the space they have probably wanted for years, lol. Plus,Big T and I met ON THE BEACH, 51 years ago. Said we would always go back there. Never thought it would happen, but GOD had the bigger plan. He knew we needed to be together, at the end of our lives (wow, that sounds weird, but I AM an old sea gull), and see what He has planned for us for the time we have left. Fishing off the pier? Sitting on the new porch and watching the boats go by? Eating lots of fried hush puppies? Meeting new friends? Having new neighbors? Finally finding time to do something I've been wanting to do forever: learn to do watercolors and sketch from my porch? Appreciate God's incredible beauty by the sea? The answer is YES to all the above and so much more.
God has blessed us. He really has. Over and beyond what we ever hoped for, or even, believed. It's amazing. The house we are building is the icing on the proverbial Fry Cake.
So, follow me again. I have been AWOL from Blogging but know it's my jam. Along with Bible Journaling. Talking. Laughing. Loving on my grands. Yeah, I'm still here, and grands are growing up. But we love it. We love watching our kids as parents and able to love on those kidlets and not have to worry about taking care of them, lol! Stick around awhile and help me sort through our move, our lives etc. You know me, I'm honest. No sugar coating. Well, most of the time.
So, come along for the ride if you wish. I'll try to update on house building.
+Update on Bible Journaling. (when applicable)
+Update on life's journey.
+I'll also post some of my feelings on life/liberty and the bird's eye view of life in general, according tho this old sea gull.
And , quite honestly, I hope to hear from you, too. Cause it ain't all about me.
More to come from this old and sassy sea gull.
